Minnesota Wild vs. Tampa Bay Lightning: Current situation
The Minnesota Wild split the first two games of the season while at home and then went on a seven-game road trip that featured a four-game winning streak and three consecutive contests in which the Wild did not allow more than a goal. That was a real proof of the playing style head coach John Hynes has implemented since he took over the job last season. The Wild has established themselves as a regular playoff participant and this season they have much bigger expectations than just a playoff berth.
The Tampa Bay Lightning are a synonym for consistency, with head coach Jon Cooper leading the team for the 12th consecutive season. As usual, the Lightning are playing excellent defense, and no team can play their best game against the team from Florida. They were pretty dominant at home in the first couple of weeks of the season, and the current four-game West Coast road trip will serve as a real test for the Lightning.

Left winger Kirill Kaprizov leads the team with 15 points, which puts him sixth in the league, and he is ranked fourth with 11 goals. Matt Boldy is also off to a great start with 7 assists and a total of 11 points.

Betting tip and prediction: Minnesota Wild - Tampa Bay Lightning (01.11.2024)
Both teams have a solid start to the season, and they already played their first of two head-to-heads scheduled for this campaign. The Wild won 4-2 on the road, which was one of their four consecutive wins on their road trip. That was an excellent game, with the Wild taking the lead in the first period, the Lightning responding with two unanswered goals, and then Minnesota scoring three consecutive. Kirill Kaprizov scored two goals and dished out one assist in one of his best performances so far in the season. The Wild are finally going home after being on the road for the majority of the past two weeks. They have a strong home court advantage and are among the teams that allow the fewest goals when playing on home ice. The Lightning are in the same group of defensively oriented teams, but they did not have an answer for the Wild in the first game of the season. This will definitely be a tough one, but the Wild will have the final punch and win the game in the end.
