Betting tip and prediction: Green Bay Packers - Detroit Lions (03.11.2024)
The NFC North rivals go into this game holding the second and third longest active winning streak in the NFL at the moment. The Green Bay Packers are having real problems going into this one, with Jordan Love being uncertain for Sunday’s showdown. He is healing a groin injury and missed practice during the week. Love has been the key for the Packers recent solid offensive performances, going over 24 in the last four games and over 30 in two of those. The recent signing of kicker Brandon McManus has proven to be a great deal for the Packers, as he connected on game-winning kicks as time expired in the past two games, against the Texans and the Jaguars. Love sustained a groin injury in the first possession in Jacksonville but didn’t leave the game until the fourth quarter. Backup Malik Willis, who started in Weeks 2 and 3 with Love out with a sprained left knee, got the job done for the Packers. Other than Love, seven other Packers missed practice time this week. Among the others were running back Josh Jacobs and offensive linemen Elgton Jenkins, Rasheed Walker, and Josh Myers, each of whom have started every game this season. On the other hand, the Detroit Lions are playing one of the best seasons in franchise history, and the main reason for that is Jared Goff, who has been outstanding all year long. He rolled his ankle in the last game against the Tennessee Titans, but there is no doubt that he will start on Sunday. Offensive lineman Taylor Decker and defensive end Joshua Paschal both missed practice and are listed as questionable. Last season, each team won on the road. This will definitely be an intense game and will most likely determine the NFC North winner this season. The Lions won the last two times they visited Lambeau Field, and they will stretch that run to three on Sunday.
