Cleveland Browns vs. Los Angeles Chargers: Current situation
The Cleveland Browns came into the season with high hopes in quarterback Deshaun Watson who signed a five-year, $230 million contract with the team. Things did not go as planned as Watson did not throw for over 200 yards in the first seven starts of the season and when he went down with an injury, many Brows fans were actually excited about it. Last week, they won 29-24 against the Baltimore Ravens with Jameis Winston passing for 334 yards on 27 of 41 in his first start since September 25, 2022.
The Los Angeles Chargers won the first two games of the season and then things got to a wrong turn. Losing a close one 17-15 to the Arizona Cardinals despite Justin Herbert’s 349 yards was a real disappointment for the Chargers but they bounced back with a 26-8 win over the New Orleans Saints in the last one. Herbert finished with 279 yards on 20 of 32 passing.

Betting tip and prediction: Cleveland Browns - Los Angeles Chargers (03.11.2024)
The Cleveland Browns were one of the early disappointments this season in the NFL, but their last performance deserves all the respect. The Browns ended a five-game losing streak with a 29-24 win over one of the best defensive teams in the league, the Baltimore Ravens. What makes this win even more impressive is the fact that the Browns went out with their third quarterback. After Deshaun Watson’s season-ending Achilles injury, Dorian Thompson-Robinson stepped in his place, but he also went down with a finger injury on his throwing hands, so it was time for Jameis Winston to get on the field. The 30-year-old was ready for the opportunity and excelled in his first start in more than two years. Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski appointed Winston as the starter for the rest of the season. He will be the main man on the field for the Browns when they host the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday. The Chargers lead the NFL in scoring defense, allowing 13 points per game, and are eighth in total defense, allowing 305.4 yards per game. They played a solid game last weekend while posting a 26-8 home win over the New Orleans Saints, their second since Week 2 of the season. Justin Herbert passed for 279 yards and two touchdowns against the Saints after having a season-high 349 yards six days earlier in a loss to the Arizona Cardinals. The good news for the Chargers was the return of pass rusher Joey Bosa after missing three games with a hip injury. However, he was limited in practice this past week, just like tight ends Will Dissly and Stone Smartt, linebacker Denzel Perryman, and cornerback Kristian Fulton. On the other side, Browns linebacker Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah will definitely miss the game against the Chargers, while cornerback Denzel Ward is listed as day-to-day. A couple of more guys missed practice, with guard Joel Bitonio, middle linebacker Jordan Hicks, and defensive end Za’Darius Smith among them. The Browns still have the core of the lineup that stunned the Ravens last week, but it is very hard to expect a similar performance on Sunday. The Chargers are the better team in general, with more options in many positions, so we go with them to win this one in Cleveland.
